ITIL is published in a series of books, each of which covers an IT management topic.  ITIL is now at version 3 which consists of 26 processes and functions; these are now grouped under five volumes, arranged around a Service Lifecycle concept.

Lean Six Sigma

Six Sigma is a management strategy that attempts to improve the quality of a process by identifying and removing those areas that are defective or error prone.  It uses a set of quality management methods; it also creates a special infrastructure of people  who are experts in these methods. When carried out within an organization, it follows a defined sequence of steps and has quantified targets.  Targets, such as whatever is critical to the customer of that particular process, can be defined.
